Mr. Laurente obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in English Studies (cum laude), as well as his Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of the Philippines.
At the UP, he was a champion debater and active student organizer. He also worked as a researcher while at the University, having had stints with the Presidential Committee on the Improvement of English Teaching (PCIET) as well as the Institute of Human Rights (IHR) of the UP Law Center, where he likewise served as a staff writer of its monthly publication, The Human Rights Agenda.
Mr. Laurente was the Firm’s Managing Partner when it was founded in 2006.
Mr. Laurente likewise served in the public sector, having been a Court Attorney at the Supreme Court of the Philippines, where he was assigned to the Philippine Senate’s representative to the Judicial and Bar Council. He continues to provide legal advice to several members of both Houses of Congress.
His field of practice includes labor, civil, criminal and administrative litigation, intellectual property and government procurement. He also sits on the Board of several corporate clients as Corporate Secretary.
