First off, allow us to thank those who regularly visit this Forum. Thanks also to those who dropped a comment or two, or an email, expressing their appreciation, as well as those who take time to write and contribute articles.
At close to 300 unique hits a day, perhaps we can say that this Forum is slowly achieving its modest purpose of disseminating legal information to the general public (at the very least, those with internet access), in a manner consistent with the plain language initiative. We don’t pretend that such coverage is extensive, as the internet penetration index of the Philippines is admittedly low. Nevertheless, we have to start somewhere.
This is a Forum; everyone is free to discuss the law. Please remember, however, that NO legal advice is given in this Forum and no statement should be construed as such. Legal advice may be dispensed only by your retained counsel. There are no representations as to the accuracy of the contents of this site, and the use of any information contained herein shall be at the user’s risk.
Here’s a valid question: how could I get help if you don’t reply to questions and problems that apply to me? It’s a valid question, really, and we get that a lot. It’s a dilemma we’ve faced from the very beginning. Still, I hope readers would understand that our hands are tied, so to speak, and we can’t answer specific questions relating to a particular person. We could discuss the law in general. We can give suggestions on how to research for answers. We could not, unfortunately, give legal advice in this Forum.
This caveat applies to questions posted at the back-end. We could not, and do not, reply to questions posted at the back-end. Please do not include the details of your problems, as they are not considered anyway because of the reasons given above. The most we could do is to consider those questions in coming up with subsequent discussions of general law.
Bottomline: it’s better to post those questions here in front.
(By the way, if you have a question in mind, please try using the “search function” found at the right sidebar of this blog. If you’re not using Firefox as internet browser – this site is best viewed using Firefox – you may not see the right sidebar, where the “related posts” are also shown. Limit the search to the Forum, and not the entire web. Thanks.)
